Groups 15 + £4. Free parking and lunch for driver and free entry into the gardens.
Opening Season
Gardens open from Easter to end of September Monday Saturday 9am 5pm and Sunday 10.30am 5pm. The shop, bird centre, restaurant and nursery are open all year.
Lunch & Refreshments
When booking, arrangements can be made for lunch or refreshments in the Garden Terrace Restaurant.
Tours
You can book a tour with the owner or head gardener which lasts an hour and costs £40 per group.
Parking
There is ample free parking and Merriments is easily found by following signs from the A21 at Hurst Green.
Why visit Merriments?
Merriments Gardens offers visitors many delights, from four acres of landscaped gardens and a wild bird centre to a well-stocked nursery and licensed restaurant. The gardens are a stunning example of inspirational colour composition comprising different coloured themed borders and displays. Interesting features include a bird watching hide, a gravel garden, water garden and a rock and scree garden. New additions to the garden include the secret garden and jewelled garden and, if you are inspired by your visit, many of the plants in the gardens can be purchased from the nursery. The restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating, serves cakes, homemade meals and daily specials.
Visiting during the Summer
The gardens are glorious in all seasons, but perhaps at their most beautiful during summer when Merriments hosts its annual Summer Spectacular Festival between the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August. During the Summer Spectacular Merriments gardens will host a number of events including Shakespeare productions.
